Knowing how to navigate a camera is important. Knowing how to block is a needed skill. The elements of lighting a set, recording sound, mixing tracks, coloring a frame, making cuts are all important skills to have as filmmakers. However, just those skills alone will not help you once you’re out there trying to make your first movie or sell your TV idea.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR FILM SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES THAT TEACH PRACTICAL ELEMENTS GRADUATES WILL NEED WHEN ENTERING THE WORKFORCE. IF YOUR SCHOOL QUALIFIES LET US KNOW. WE’D LOVE TO FEATURE IT.
If any of this sounds interesting and real to you, stick around because over the course of the next twelve months, there will be FREE articles containing practical elements of filmmaking that every student must know.
This month we’re talking about how to chose your story idea and the development process, on an indie/private equity path, AND the studio/network route.
